The meeting 'Your career in your hands'
At Trade and Investment Promotion Section, Embassy of the Republic of Poland in The Hague, PL-Student-NL arranged a meeting with Dutch students of Entrepreneurship HBO from Rotterdam a few days ago on 7 april 2016.
The meeting constisted of two parts: The first part of meeting was about the trading relationship between Poland and the Netherlands and the second part about building a personal brand and career planning. We started with presentation prepared by Andrzej Morawiecki about economic relations between Poland and The Netherlands during last years. Because dutch studens are going to visit Warsaw for a week it could be an inspiration for starting up and growing an own business in Poland. Furthermore it was good opportunity to exchange opinions. Then Head of the Section - Mr Tomasz Waźbiński acquainted guests with economic development plan for Poland. This first part ended up with Daria Boruta's presentation and interactive quiz about culture made by Paulina Kozłowska.
Next, Mrs Julita Davies, STAR & BRAND and co-founder of Polish Professional Women conducted a workshop about first steps at work. Martyna Kopacz and Anna Kowalska finished with presentation about reasons to join student organizations. The event ended up in one of the bar in The Hague. Metting 'Students and their life in the Netherlands'
The first meeting, in this academic year, of PL-Student- NL took place on 29th November in Lewandowski law firm in Amsterdam.The meeting started with lunch during which all participants had the opportunity to get to know each other.
The first part of the meeting was conducted by PL-Student-NL’s board, namely Emilia Zalewska, Anna Kowalska and Martyna Kopacz and a member of the Promo Team, namely Daria Boruta. Students talked about higher education in the Netherlands, health care, transport and free time.
After the first part participants were invited for a coffee break. The second part of the meeting was conducted by Mr Lewandowski (lawer and founder of Lewandowski law firm) and a tax advisor- Mr Szulc. Gentelmen were discussing tax in the Netherlands, and more importantly, advised students on their future career paths.
During the last part of the meeting the board announced resignation of Emilia Zalewska as a president of the society and introduced a new candidate for this function- Martyna Kopacz who is currently an assistant in the board. Till the 4th November members of the society may suggest other candidates for the president position. Between 11th Novemebr and 18th November an online voting will take place during which members will select the future president.

We are pleased to announce a media collaboration between our association and nasza-holandia.pl portal thanks to which we will be able to reach an even wider range of Polish people in the Netherlands.
The mission of nasza-holandia.pl portal is to collect and present current informations about the Netherlands in a clear and transparent way. In addition to informations about legal and formal topics on the pages of the site you can also find articles about the culture and tourism.

2nd Annual Schuman Student Congress & Essay Competition
For the second time, we have co-organized the Schuman Congress. This year edition was devoted to Schuman’s principle of solidarity. Students from various faculties presented their essays and all participants joined very interesting discussion. One of the discussion moderators was president of PL-Student-NL, Emilia Zalewska. Our special thanks to the guests from the Polish Embassy in the Hague, mr. dr Piotr Perczyński and mr. dr Piotr Kobza.
Schuman's Congress. The anniversary of EU enlargement - Essay Contest
THE CHALLENGE: Students write an essay, individually or in groups of max three persons, about proposed topics. The challenge is to apply Schuman’s effective solidarity principle to those topics and show the difference if there is one.

‘Students and their career in the Netherlands’
In March 2015 we organized a student meeting about career in the Netherlands. Our special guests, Jarek Sokołowski, Berber van Norden and Johnathan Talbott gave very interesting presentations about Dutch tax system, how to prepare for a job interview and how to network. After this introduction our participants had an opportunity to try their new skills in practice.
Meeting with prof. Ryszard Żelichowski
First official meeting of PL-Student-NL took place on 13 November 2014 at the Polish Embassy in the Hague. We combined inaugurating the new academic year with a meeting with prof. Ryszard Żelichowski who is an expert of Polish-Dutch diplomatic relations. He gave a very interesting presentation about relations between Poland and the Netherlands which led to a stimulating discussion. At the end, board members of our Association presented our goals for the coming academic year.
V Polish-Dutch Business Forum
Polish Chamber of Commerce in the Netherlands and Trade and Investment Promotion Section of Polish Embassy in the Hague organized for the fifth time the Polish-Dutch Business Forum. This year edition took place in Eindhoven, on 18 October 2014. PL-Student-NL has a pleasure to be a partner to this event.
